    Easter Egg Brownies


    • 170g (6 oz) dark chocolate, chopped
    • ¾ cup unsalted butter, cubed
    • 1 cup Fine White Sugar
    • 3 eggs
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • ½ cup all-purpose flour
    • ¼ cup cocoa powder
    • ¼ tsp baking powder
    • ¼ tsp salt
    • 1-2 cups mixed Easter egg chocolates


    1. Preheat oven to 350F. Line an 8 x 8” square baking pan with parchment paper or a brownie pan (10.5” x 8”).
    2. Place the chopped chocolate and cubed butter in a large microwave-safe bowl. Melt chocolate and butter in the microwave on 30-second blasts, stirring often. Set aside to cool.
    3. In a large bowl sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.
    4. Pour cooled chocolate and butter mixture into egg and sugar mixture. Mix until just combined. Pour in flour mixture and gently mix to combine. Fold in chocolate Easter eggs and pour into prepared pan.
    5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until brownies are just set. Let cool completely on a wire rack. Slice into squares.

    Yield: 20 pieces.
