    Homemade Chocolate Truffles
    • ¾ cup 35% whipping cream
    • 10 oz dark chocolate, finely chopped
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract (or other extract of your choosing)
    • Toppings
      • cocoa powder,
      • chopped nuts,
      • desiccated coconut,
      • caramel chips


      1. In a small saucepan, heat cream over medium heat. When cream is just bubbling pour over dark chocolate. Let sit for 1-2 minutes. Whisk together until chocolate has completely melted and combined with hot cream. Mix in vanilla extract or extract of your choosing. Cover with plastic wrap.
      2. Let cool to room temperature. Place in the fridge to firm up for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Using a melon baller, small scoop or spoon scoop out 1 tbsp size balls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Roll each truffle into a ball between your hands. Roll in topping of your choice. Place in the fridge to chill before serving.
